"Extensible Markup Language" format
A generic markup language of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The XML (Extensible Markup Language) format is used for describing, storing and exchanging structured data in the form of a tree. The interchange scenarios established by the National Service for Water Data and Reference-dataset Management (Sandre) are based on this language.
